Baptism and Confirmation Sacraments
Sacred Baptism is the base of Christian life… and the path that leads to other Sacraments. Through baptism, we are free from sin; we are reborn as Gods’ children. We become members of the Christ’s body, the Church, and become a partner in its mission.
Conditions and requirements for Baptism and Confirmation Sacraments:
- Copy of the child’s civil status
- For Lebanese residents, written consent of the child parish’s priest if the latter is not present at the baptism ceremony
- Photocopy of parents + child passports if residing outside Lebanon
- For the godparents, carry out teaching baptized child principles of Christianity and contribute to his spiritual education
- Confirmation’s Sacrament is given by the priest directly after the baptism
- Set up an appointment to prepare the requirements before the baptism ceremony.
At the end of the ceremony, a Baptism and Confirmation certificate is issued to the parents by Our Lady of Lebanon Sanctuary – Harissa. This document will have to be registered in their parish.
